Becton Rotary and the New Forest Sewing for the NHS and Local Community Group, returned to the New Forest Basics Bank in October to make a further donation of £800 - this following an earlier donation of £2,000. The money is the ongoing proceeds from local community donations for the supply of PPE Gowns to Dentists and the Fire Service, and Masks / Face Coverings to members of the public, all made by the New Forest Sewing Group.
Passing over the cheque on behalf of Becton Rotary and the New Forest Sewing Group, Rotary President Keith Williams said “I am pleased to be able to hand over this £800 to assist Basics Bank with the task of feeding those in need in our Community”.
Receiving the cheque Chairman Oliver Stanley of New Forest Basics Bank said “We are grateful for this generous donation which will help us meet the increasing demand for our services."
