Becton and District Rotary Club leases a holiday bungalow on the Hoburne Naish Holiday Village located on the edge of New Milton and Barton on Sea.
In normal times, other Rotary Clubs are invited to bring deserving families or individuals to the bungalow for a week’s holiday. Whilst the sponsoring Rotary Club is charged for the use of the bungalow, that charge is far less than would be the case if they were booking directly with a holiday site.
The Bungalow accommodates up to six people and one infant in a cot. There are four Bedrooms, all off the main lounge area: 1 Double, 1 Twin and 2 Single bedrooms; one of which has a cot as well as a bed. The kitchen has a microwave, electric oven and fridge. All the rooms are heated and the bathroom has a bath with over-bath electric shower.
All the park’s facilities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, seasonal nightly entertainment, children’s play area and restaurant are available to the family during their stay and are just a short stroll away.
From the park there are stunning views over the Solent to the Isle of Wight and the Needles, and New Milton is on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
The Bungalow enjoys a cliff top site and is less than 10 minutes' walk from the sea and a short bus journey from Christchurch, Hengistbury Head and Bournemouth. There are also local bus services to New Milton and Highcliffe.
All members of the Club are rostered to greet the guests. Members happily recall many cases of deserving families having a much-needed break.
